Agreement with the European Union for the implementation of the project TAQ (Tracing Agrifood Quality)

TAQ is a quality management/traceability application for agricultural products, which provides information to consumers and other interested parties about the production, manufacturing, transportation, storing conditions of products and their placement to the selves of supermarkets. By scanning via the mobile phone or the tablet the QR-CODE of the agricultural product, the end user will receive information about the production process and distribution chain. Web Portal for the "Integrated Green Cities" program of the Municipality of Thessaloniki

Tessera implemented a web portal (www.ingreenci.eu) for the Municipality of Thessaloniki under the program "INTEGRATED GREEN CITIES (INGREENCI)", which is co-financed by OP Territorial Cooperation – Greece Bulgaria 2007-2013.

The main purpose of this portal is to reinforce environmental awareness of the site visitors and help them recognize the role of green areas within cities and the irrigation of green zones in densely populated urban areas. 

A fun educational game supports the aims of the project and familiarize children and adults with the principles of ecologic rain water management.

Application for smartphones and tablets for technical - construction companies

Tessera has designed and developed the current software that is intended for companies in the area of domestic and building services engineering, technical facility management and plant engineering.

The system is composed of two main components: a client-side application which runs on Android handsets, and a server side application which is in charge of transmitting and transforming data from the company’s ERP to the mobile device and vice versa. The application is designed to facilitate everyday business processes for technicians that work to a specific company, such as receiving orders, material registration, records of working hours etc.

MO-BIZZ promotes a workshop about the development of value-added mobile cloud platforms

MO-BIZZ

On October 16th, MO-BIZZ will organize the workshop “Fostering Mobile Business through Enhanced Cloud Solutions”. By inviting partners from the industry and reference European projects, as well as researchers and end-users, MO-BIZZ workshop is a unique place for experience and thoughts exchange on how to develop and monetize mobile cloud solutions. The main discussion topics are the following:

  1. European strategic approach to mobile cloud - What are the main trends on mobile cloud European ecosystem? What are the priorities,of the European Commission? Which are the latest EU success cases?
  2. The potential of mobile cloud as a productivity booster - How to turn into business the opportunities offered by mobile cloud growing market? How can mobile business apps help companies becoming more flexible and competitive?.
  3. Development of value-added mobile ecosystems - How to address the technical challenges created by complex mobile / cloud ecosystems and develop secure products? How to launch networks of providers that include telcos, software developers, and integrators?

The workshop will be co-hosted by EuroCloud’s congress, which is a two-day event fully dedicated to the European cloud computing sector. It is the place to meet with business leaders, policy makers and researchers engaged in cloud computing from across Europe. It will examine the role that political, industrial and economic policy can play in cloud’s successful growth and global impact.
MO-BIZZ workshop,takes place at the Chambre de Commerce conference centre, in Luxembourg. The registration is now open and it is free. The offer is limited to the first 50 bookings. Registration is done through MO-BIZZ website (www.mobizz-project.eu).

The project is funded by the European Commission under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) and brings together 10 partners from 7 member states. The platform developed during MO-BIZZ project will offer advanced mobile services and business applications, fostering the use of existing network infrastructures. Through MO-BIZZ, emerging and growing SMEs will have the opportunity to build upon the platform and deliver demanding business applications, for instance, by using the unique aspects of the network (e.g., location, QoS) to differentiate and monetize new and enhanced mobile cloud services.

New installation of the digital employment application developed by our company on behalf of the Professional Chamber of Athens, in collaboration with SGA G. Avramidis SA.

The online application enables companies - members of the Chamber to submit listings for seeking personnel by entering information about the jobs they wish to cover.

Also the system offers visitors the opportunity submit expressions of interest for employment.

The application can automatically match CVs with vacancies and inform automatically companies and stakeholders.

In the current version of the Professional Chamber of Athens we have added the ability to automatically calculate points for the program “Cheque entering the labor market for unemployed young people up to 29 years” of NSRF.

Our company designed and developed the new web portal of the Chamber of Kavala. The portal was implemented as part of the project "Digital Chamber - Chamber of Kavala Digital Asset Management", with main contractor the company SGA G. Avramidis SA

Tessera as a subcontractor of SGA has undertaken the implementation of the portal platform and the services offered, including a business directory, eForum, HelpDesk and area for business pages for the members of the Chamber.

The Portal includes a handy and simple content management system (CMS), which enables the Chamber staff to manage and renew the portal with easy procedures, without requiring specialized IT skills.

Kick-off meeting for the EU project MO-BIZZ

On 7 and 8 January 2013 took place the kick-off meeting of the EU project MO-BIZZ, in which our company participates. The meeting was held in Lisbon, in the headquarters of Portugal Telecoms, the project’s Coordinator.

This project will be implemented over the period 2012 – 2015 under the European Program CIP-ICT-PSP and aims to design a unified technological platform that will allow companies to develop and make available to their customers services that utilize cloud-based mobile services.

The new web portal of the Chamber of Xanthi is set officially in operation

The web portal was implemented under the project "Digital Chamber - Digital Asset Management of the Chamber of Xanthi", which aimed to change the operating mode of the Chamber and the way communication between company-members taking full advantage of modern integrated operational / organizational solutions of the sector of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The main contractor of this project was the company SGA Information Systems SA while Tessera worked as a subcontractor undertaking exclusively to the design and development of the web portal.

The upgraded Integrated Information Portal of Chamber of Xanthi hosts services for information and business support and aims to facilitate cooperation between companies. The basic services provided by the portal include:

  • Telephone catalogue for services and staff.
  • Contact Form.
  • Useful Links.
  • Decisions of the Board.
  • Advertising banners.
  • Administrative Structure of the Chamber.
